English as a subject in schools is often taught at a fast pace with a lot of content that some students may move through without enough time to fully understand and confidently apply on their own. This course takes a ‘book-based’ approach; using engaging, age-appropriate texts as the foundation for learning. By reading and using the content of these carefully chosen books as a motivational stimulus, students build their knowledge of English while strengthening their skills with reading, writing, punctuation, grammar and critical thinking, making their learning deeper, more meaningful and easier to apply independently.
In partnership with Spark Education AI, which uses age-related text creation software and individualised questioning, the TutorsME programme utilises modern technology to both increase reading enjoyment and further each student's understanding of reading and writing skills in context.
